What day is it?

Sunday? Monday? Tuesday? Wednesday? Who knows anymore!!!

Last week my doctor put me on bed rest. I have early signs of preeclampsia and unknown to me, until I was on a fetal monitor, am having contractions every 10-20 minutes. Being only 35 weeks, this baby needs to stay in for a few weeks longer!

In order to keep this baby cooking I have to lay on my left side 45 minutes out of every hour. Which means I've been home watching tv, blog stalking, reading, sleeping, and relaxing.  Daddy-to-be gave me this... Is he crazy!?! I've been trying not to take advantage of it! He was been WONDERFUL: making dinner, getting lots of glasses of water, picking up the house, and taking care of everything without complaints.

I guess we don't have to worry about this anymore because I didn't get to go back to work after winter break.

My kiddies came back to their sub. I'm sure they were surprised! But I know they are going to LOVE her, because I do! She was Sister 2's student teacher back in the fall. She is absolutley amazing so I know I have NOTHING to worry about.

Thankfully, I got started preparing for my leave in January... who knew I'd be off 5 weeks early!?! Usually I'm a procrastinator but luckily this time I was prepared. Because I'm a tad of a control freak I made her a Maternity Leave Handbook. Check it out...

I included a narrative of just about everything I could think of! I didn't want her feeling overwhelmed or lost. I don't know if you remember being a sub but the most annoying thing I heard was... "That's not how Mrs. ABC does it!" So to save her from that it's a step by step guide of our day. I talked to her yesterday and she said this handbook has been a life saver! I'm so thankful she is finding it useful.

I also made her a survival basket. I saw this idea on Pinterest and just had to put something together for her. I appreciate all the work she's doing in my classroom.  I know my students are in good hands...

So for the next few weeks I'll be having lots of doctor's appointments and tests to monitor the condition and the health of the baby. We'll be using this sooner than we thought! I can't wait to meet our little baby!

Well... I have to get back to my left side! See ya soon.
