2. Mother's Day

Sister 1 did an adorable If You Give a Mom a Muffin craftivity.  She can't take credit for this idea though, she found it on TpT last year but she's getting old can't remember who to give credit too.

Sister 2 had her class make a picture of their mom out of construction paper and had them answer a questionnaire about their momma.

I had each of my kiddos make a card for their mom.  We traced our hand and cut out flowers for the hand to hold, inside they wrote a letter to their mom. 

3. Bees

This week was dedicated to bees.  We read tons of informational books including a pocket book from A-Z (told you... obsessed).  We even watched a Magic School Bus about bees.  Grab our bee freebie found here!

4. Sister 2's Son's Birthday!

Happy 7th birthday to Sister 2's baby... Boy how time flies.

5. Last but not least .... right testicle surgery! 

Yes, that's right one of Sister 1's students announced to the class that this summer he would be having surgery on his right testicle.  On that note...

Reading Month...it's coming FAST!

I can't believe it, but I am so excited that March is just around the corner.  I am excited that March is Reading Month and the kiddos really get into all of the activities that we have planned.  BUT, I am most excited for March because I HATE winter. (pretty pathetic for a Michigan girl :))  Spring and summer are my fave seasons and I can't wait for some warmer weather. 

This year we have created many units for March that will excite your students and make your jobs easier...how can you resist that, right?!

First of all, we have a fabulous March Madness unit.  This is sure to get your kids pumped up for the NCAA tourney and also keep 'em learning at the same time. 

We also have some packs that will organize a Reading Month unit for you with little to no work!  Each one also includes a Mystery Reader activity for parents that the kids and parents go wild for.

Happy New Year!

After a brief hiatus of blogging due to all of the hustle and bustle of the holidays, we are back!! We hope all of you are enjoying your time off as much as we are.  We are very HAPPY that we still have 6 more days until we go back, but who's counting?!  Thank goodness we don't go back tomorrow like some of you because we have lots of plans and units to get done before then!

This morning we added our latest product to our TpT store.  We are starting our Addition with Regrouping on Monday, so we organized all of our plans into one unit for you all, too.  Enjoy!

Merry Early Christmas!!

It's been a great first two months in the blogging world and starting up our Teachers Pay Teachers store, Sister Secrets.  We are so thankful to all of our followers and have decided to throw a sale to celebrate the holidays early.  Our whole store will be 20% starting tomorrow, December 19th through the 21st.  So, hop on over to our store to pick up that last-minute Christmas idea.

TPT Sale

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! We are so thankful for all of your support as we begin our journey in blogging and in our new TPT store.

Make sure you check out our new Language Arts and Math Common Core "I Can" Statements.  We have two versions in each pack exact language and kid friendly! Great for a Focus Wall. :)

We also put together 3 emergency sub packs: Miss Nelson is Missing!, Moosetache, and Knuffle Bunny.  We use these packs as a "back up" for those days when we don't plan on being out.  All you have to do is provide a copy of the book with copies of each worksheet.  Not only can these pack be used as sub plans but you can use them as plans for yourself on any given day!

In addition to all that we have a new social studies unit... all about mapping, continents, and oceans!

Don't forget Christmas is coming up! Check out our Hopping Through the Holidays pack and chapter book studies.  Have you heard of Dan Gutman's My Weird School Series? They are hilarious!!!  Our kids are seriously OBSESSED. Miss Holly is too Jolly is a crowd favorite and we just so happen to have a book study on it in our chapter book stack.  We also have a Polar Express Pajama Party pack and Christmas Around the World.  Needless to say we have ALL of our bases covered!
